After know what requirements to install Oracle 10g database, then we start with the install.
The following steps:
1. Run the command “setup.exe” in the software package has been downloaded. And appear Install wizard (GUI). See the picture,
- Select the option “Basic Installation”
- Enter the directory “Oracle Home Location”
- Select the “Installation Type”
- Do not select the “Create Starter Database”
- Click the button “Next”
2. Oracle installer will check the OS (operating system), whether its fulfilled or not. Make sure all of status “success.” If there is a warning, or the status not success, refine the OS. Then click the button “Next”
3. Installation in the process, Oracle will run the program java. When the firewall for your PC blocking java, and appear alerts “Windows Security Alert”, click the “Unblock”.
4. Summary appears Oracle Database 10g components that we are ready to install. Then click the “Install”
5. Installation progress shown by this picture.
6. After that additional configuration will be conducted by Oracle Installer. After the configuration finished, click “Next”. Sometimes we do not need to kilk Next button, the wizard automatically to the next step.
7. Finally, the installation is complete. Then click “Exit”
